The places A Place for Mom gave me did not work for my mother. I was disappointed because I did give the advisor the information about my mom (1 1/2 hrs. on the phone) and she recommended places that did not meet her physical needs or accommodations. Amethyst Arbors is a very nice facility but the nurse felt my mom would need more care than they could provide read more..

We got overwhelmed with phone calls. They all sounded great. But my mother hated the one we chose.  She said the place stunk.  Turns out they couldn’t keep the staff. The final straw was they forgot her meds one weekend. We started looking again read more...
